Description
Reverse: Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs from north to south to the left of the nose. A die scratch runs from north to south to the left of the chin. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse. Reverse: Short die scratches run NW from the right end of the roof. Two parallel die scratches run NE from the top of the dome. A die scratch runs WNW from the top right of the N in MONTICELLO. A die scratch runs NE from the left tip of the roof to the bottom left of the R in PLURIBUS. The reverse is also a doubled die that is listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1955-D 5¢ WDDR-009. A Class II spread towards the center shows on STATES OF AMERICA. Obverse:
