Description
Reverse: Die Markers: Obverse: A short, but strong die gouge can be found to the left of the lower forehead just above the eyebrow. Reverse: Short die scratches run from north to south on the right side of Monticello and through the right arch. A die scratch runs SW from the bottom right of the second O in MONTICELLO to the top of the first A in AMERICA. Parallel die scratches run from SW to NE between the F in OF and the first A in AMERICA. Die scratches run SSE from the top right of the M in UNUM and SE from the bottom center of the M to form a tilted “V”. A die scratch runs from SSW to NNE above the left roof. Obverse:
