Description

1955-D WOMM-008 is an over mint mark on the 1955-D Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. The D was punched over an S (D/S). On the obverse, a die scratch links the center of IN's I with the bust's bottom left, running west, and another links IN's N, at its top right, with the G in GOD at its top left, running east. On the reverse, many parallel west-to-east scratches lie under and between MONTICELLO's MO and FIVE's F, and two parallel WNW-to-ESE scratches sit in AMERICA, between the C and A near their tops. The submitter is listed as unknown. CONECA lists it as OMM #8.
