Description

1955-D WOMM-007 is an over mint mark on the 1955-D Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. The D was punched over an S (D/S). On the obverse, many die scratches lie left of the profile and through TRUST, and scratches lie right of the queue and under the ribbon. On the reverse, several WSW-to-ENE scratches lie above the left roof; a scratch heads WNW off the lower left side of the dome; one scratch links MONTICELLO's second O with the top of the C in AMERICA; another, running WSW, joins the M in MONTICELLO and the N in UNITED, each at its top left; a WNW-to-ESE scratch crosses the lower EN of CENTS; and many other scratches appear across the reverse. The submitter is listed as unknown. CONECA lists it as OMM #7.
