Description

The 1950-D Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1950 (D) Roosevelt Dime, part of the Roosevelt Silver Dimes 1946-1964 series. Cross-referenced as CONECA: 1-R-I, Cherrypickers: FS-10-1950D-801 (014) Comments: The first hubbing did not penetrate deep into the die as the doubling is centralized and does not extend to the lettering around the rim.; Wexler Variety ID: 1950-D 10¢ WDDR-001.
