Description
Obverse Stage B: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: E/W die scratch runs east from the bust running just above the mint mark. Die scratch east from the right upper area of the bowtie. Die scratch runs E/W above the mint mark. Long die scratch in the field in front of the forehead runs south ending above 95 of date. Obverse Stage B: Clashed dies shows under chin. Die crack running mostly north in hair above ear. Die chip above bowtie. Obverse Stage C: Die scratch at the bowtie abraded away. Die crack in the hair has now grown longer with one end now behind ear and the north end at the top of the head below WE. Die chips above the right upper area of the mint mark. Obverse Stage D: None noted. Reverse Stage A: Die crack on right wheat stalk runs N/S centered and along right edge. Reverse Stage B: Second Reverse. Clashed dies shows at the lower C of CENT. Two short die scratches run NE from the lower left inside of the C of CENT. Reverse Stage C: Die scratch runs SE from the upper area of the N of CENT ending between the N and T of UNITED. Reverse Stage D: Die crack runs from rim to left edge of left wheat stalk then turns north along the edge of the left wheat stalk ending in the field at the top of the wheat stalk as a die chip.
