Description
D/D Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die gouge under N of IN. Obverse Stage B: Die crack in hair above ear running SSW/ENE. Consensual SW/NE die scratches run on the lower right bust with a few running into the field towards the date and mint mark. Obverse Stage C: Clash dies under neck. Die crack above ear is thicker. Arcing die scratch in front of eye lid. Die chip on upper I of LIBERTY. Obverse Stage D: Die chip in upper ear. Die chip on tip of nose. Obverse Stage E: None Noted. Reverse Stage A: None Noted. Reverse Stage B: The beginning of a die scratch; very short and thin die crack starts on the right wheat stalks right edge located across from the upper last S of STATES. Reverse Stage C: Die crack on right side of right wheat stalk to the left of the last S of STATES has grown longer; the size of two and a half wheat kernels. Reverse Stage D: Die crack now complete runs south along the upper right edge of the right wheat stalk ending at the bottom right wheat kernel, then running SW towards the rim. Reverse Stage E: Stage A die crack has grown thicker and strongest on both ends with die break developing from the wheat ear and the rim. Obverse Stage A:
