Description
The 1947 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-001 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1947 Roosevelt Dime, part of the Roosevelt Silver Dimes 1946-1964 series. Die markers: UVC-143 DMR-002 Stage A: Obverse and Reverse are EDS Stage B: Obverse and Reverse are MDS Stage C: Die scratch from Right end of horizontal crossbar of 4 to Left end of crossbar of 7 of date – LDS Reverse is LDS.
