Description
1947 WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 1947 Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Just south of the primary eyelid lies an extra one, and the ear may show very slight doubling inside it, at the lower right. Obverse markers: two field gouges well south of LIBERTY's T; a gouge just to the left of the neck's back; and a very worn concentric scratch above IN GOD WE TRUST. Reverse markers: a small gouge well south of OF's F, and a crack on the right side of CENT's lower T. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Coppercoins lists it as 1947P-1DO-002.
