Description

Obverse: Die Markers: Obverse: Type I. The obverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1946-S 10¢ WDDO-006. A very weak spread toward the center shows on the designer's initials. Die crack south from the throat above the last T in TRUST. N/S die scratch through the eyelid. Reverse: Trumpet tail mintmark. The reverse is also an RPM listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1946-S 10¢ WRPM-009. It is an S/S Southeast. ENE/WSW die scratch through the UNI of UNITED. Die gouge below the left leg of the R in AMERICA.
