Description
The 1945-S Doubled Die Reverse DDR-003 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1945 (S) Washington Quarter, part of the Washington Silver Quarters 1932-1964 series. Die markers: UVC-0579 DMR-011 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Weak die scratches North-South on Left side of Reverse – MDS Strong upside-down V die scratches to the left side of the R of LIBERTY – MDS Stage C: Reverse die scratches worn away – LDS Die crack across forehead and hair – LDS Die crack across bust. Reverse is MMS-002 (Trumpet tail) and LISTED as IMM-001.
