Description
1945 WDDO-011 is a doubled die obverse on the 1945 Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. A counterclockwise (CCW) spread pivoting from about 9:00 appears on the ribbon's bottom, the date and LIBERTY. On the obverse, right of the second T in TRUST, near its bottom, there is a gouge, and a scratch heads NW off the top of the E in WE. On the reverse, a crack descends the eagle's left and right wings. Whaden Curtis submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
