Description
1945 WDDO-004 is a doubled die obverse on the 1945 Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. Extra thickness, spread toward the center, is seen on the date, the designer's initials, the lower ribbon, LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. On the obverse, a crack crosses the bust's base, and an E/W crack runs through the hair just over the forehead and on top of the head. On the reverse, a crack descends the eagle's right wing. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
