Description

Tenth in the doubled die obverse sequence for the 1945 Washington Quarter, DDO-010 shows light spread on the numeral 1 of the date and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. Light-class doubling requires careful examination under at least 5x magnification, where the secondary impression becomes distinguishable from the primary design. Stage A places both the obverse and reverse in early-to-mid die state, indicating the doubling was observable early in the die's working life.
