This variety was discovered on the 1944 (P) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-159 DMR-013 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Reverse and Obverse are MDS Stage C: Die crack from rim between BU of PLURIBUS through mintmark to dome – LDS Die crack from dome South through middle of building, C of CENTS, and last S of STATES Obverse is LDS.
