Extremely strong Class VI extra thickness shows on QUARTER DOLLAR, USA, EPU, the wreath, the outer edges of both wings, and the top of the eagle’s head.Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1943-S 25¢ WDDO-002. A very close CCW spread from a pivot at about 8:00 shows on the date, the designer’s initials, the bottom of the ribbon, and LIBERTY. Two parallel die scratches curve NE from the bottom right side of the B in LIBERTY. A die crack runs across the base of the bust and the lower queue extending to the top of the one in the date. An E/W die crack runs through the hair at the top of the head. Reverse: A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing from the N in UNITED. A die crack runs from the S in PLURIBUS down the eagle’s left wing.Submitted By: Bob RyanCross References: None known Obverse: Die crack across the base of the bust. E/W die scratch through the LI in LIBERTY. E/W die scratch on the shoulder. Reverse: Die cracks along both wings. E/W die cracks with chipping on the eagle's head.
