The 1943 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1943 (P) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Die crack into field from roof on right side of building north of small right window; die gouge (dot) to right of top of fourth column. VLDS with heavy metal flow lines.
