This variety was discovered on the 1942 (P) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-530 DMR-048 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Die crack from right dome South to steps between pillar # 3 and # 4 – MDS Die scratches North-South on upper Reverse Obverse is MDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). P/P Northwest. I need to see a specimen for new digital color photos.
