This variety was discovered on the 1942 (P) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-499 DMR-044 Stage A: Die gouge dot in field under N of UNUM – EDS Obverse is EDS Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed) Stage C: Reverse is LDS Light die crack North-South in hair – LDS. P/P South. I need to see a specimen for new digital color photos.
