Description
Obverse Stage A: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: The obverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1940-D 10¢ WDDO-004. A spread towards the center shows on the date. Obverse Stage B: A new obverse that is not a doubled die is now paired with the reverse. No significant die markers were detected. Reverse Stage A: The reverse is an RPM listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1940-D 10¢ WRPM-005. It is a D/D North. A die scratch runs SSE from the right side of the center bands. Reverse Stage B: The die scratch from the center bands has been abraded away. Light abrasion scratches mostly running from SSW to NNE can be seen throughout the right side of the reverse.
