Description
D/D/D North and North Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Strong secondary mintmarks showing two repunchings to the north. Die scratches ESE from the bust. NW/SE die gouge through the center of the upper horizontal bar of the E of WE. Die scratch SW from the lower area of the hair running into the field. Obverse Stage B: Weaker secondary mintmark at the top of the primary mintmark. Most scratches at the bust abraded away. All other stage A scratches are present. Obverse Stage C: Very weak secondary mintmark showing only a north RPM. All previous scratches are gone except the scratch at the hair. The gouge at the E of WE is minimal. Reverse Stage A: NW/SE die scratches through UNUM. E/W die scratch centered at the lower opening of the N of UNUM. N/S die scratches at the left side of the vertical bar of the T in CENT. Reverse Stage B: Scratches at UNUM are abraded away. Scratches at the T in CENT are still weakly present. Reverse Stage C: Scratches at the T in CENT are still weakly present.
