Description

Obverse Stage A: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die scratch east from the R and through the U of TRUST. Short scratches north from the U and second T of TRUST. Very light N/S die gouge between the bust and rim at 6:15. Obverse Stage B: Die gouge between bust and rim heavier. Scratch between R and U of TRUST gone. Obverse Stage C: Center curve of secondary mint mark very weak. Obverse Stage D: Remnant of a secondary mint mark showing primarily on the tail. Reverse Stage A: Die crack from the tip of the left wheat ear to the E of EPU. Reverse Stage B: New die crack from the rim at 3:00 SW to the wheat ear and turning south and running to the end of the wheat grains. Reverse Stage C: New reverse die. Short NNW die scratches running along the lower left side of the vertical bar of the T in CENT. Light die scratches through the right wheat grains. NNE/SSW die scratch inside the lower loop of the second S in STATES. N/S die scratches near the rim at 3:00. Reverse Stage D: Stage C markers weak to gone.
