1924 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-002

Description

Doubling shows on the designer’s initials, nice notching on IGWT, and the right leg of the R in LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: None significant. Reverse: The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1924 $1 WDDR-003. Light doubling shows on the olive branch and leaves. Doubling spread to the west shows on the rays between the O of DOLLAR and the eagle. Significant doubling shows on the leg feathers and the rays behind the leg as well as the rays above and below ONE and to the left of the eagle. No die markers noted.
