Error
Description
With a D/D South displacement documented by VarietyVista, this 1924 Denver Mint Buffalo Nickel carries die markers UVC-060 / DMR-003. Three stages: Stage A EDS (unconfirmed); Stage B reverse and obverse MDS; Stage C LDS (unconfirmed). The cataloger requests new color, high-magnification digital photographs. The 1924-D is a semi-key date with a mintage of approximately 5.3 million, a modest output that limits die variety availability. Fraser's design was struck in 75% copper and 25% nickel at 5.0 grams and 21.21 mm. The southward displacement means the initial D landed slightly above the intended position beneath FIVE CENTS, and the corrective second punch established the final placement lower on the die face. RPMs from lower-mintage Buffalo Nickel dates command heightened collector interest due to their inherent scarcity in the marketplace.
