Description

Cataloged as WDDO-001 by the Wexler Team, this 1915-D Lincoln wheat cent exhibits a Class V clockwise spread that shows very well on the L of LIBERTY. The clockwise rotational doubling is the hallmark of Class V hub doubling, where the working hub was slightly rotated between impressions on the working die.
