Description
1900-P VAM-5C Near Date, Clashed Obverse In & st, Clashed Reverse M Discovery 2013 5C III2 4 - C3a (Near Date, Clashed Obverse In & st, Clashed Reverse M) (188) Obverse III2 4 - Clashed dies with partial incuse In from reverse next to Liberty's neck & partial incuse st of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Die marker - Double diagonal polishing lines in hair gap above 00. Different die than VAM 5A. Reverse C3a - Clashed die with faint partial raised designer's initial M from obverse showing above d in God. DPIS - B23RE Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: The 1900-P VAM-5A and 1900-P VAM-5C are very much the same thing. If you can see the clashed M on the reverse then I guess you can call it a 1900-P VAM-5C otherwise it is a 1900-P VAM-5A (same clashed die pair). Neither the 1900-P VAM-5A or the 1900-P VAM-5C share either die with the 1900-P VAM-5 or the 1900-P VAM-5B. This particular VAM is generally (if not always) very weakly struck.
