Description
1887-P VAM-1 Normal Die 1 III2 1 - C3a (Normal Die) (190) Obverse III2 1 - Normal die of III3 type. Some specimen show die chips between loops of 8's in various combinations. Reverse C3a - Normal die of C3 type. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: VAM-1 existence is inconclusive and may be a duplicate of another already listed VAM, several 1887 varieties show die chips in one or both 8'S. LVA will label coins VAM-1 to any 1887 that doesn't show any doubling, die breaks, etc (perfect die). As you can see there are now two VAM-1 and they are spaced with Die #1 and Die #2.
