Description
1883-O VAM-7 Doubled 18-3 Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, June 1966. 7 III2 4 · C3a (Doubled 18-3) (181) Obverse III2 4– 1 doubled slightly at top left. First 8 doubled at bottom outside of lower loop. 3 doubled at bottom left inside of lower loop. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Check for overlapped reeding which is listed for 1883-O VAM-26 but not 1883-O VAM-7 (NOTE*** When the 1883-O VAM-7 was listed LVA was not listing overlapping reeding on anything). Appears that 1883-O VAM-7A, 1883-O VAM-26 & 1883-O VAM-26A were all produced with the same pair of dies. 1883-O VAM-7 does not specify a mint mark position out of normal position. If you have a slightly tilted O set slightly left, check 1883-O VAM-26.
