=1881-O VAM-1B Die Gouge in DOLLAR, Clashed Obverse s= Discovered by Larry Briggs, April 2000. 1B(revised) III2 1 · C3a (Die Gouge in DOLLAR, Clashed Obverse s) (176) I-2 R-6 Obverse III2 1 – Some show clashed die with partial incuse s of Trust showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Reverse C3a – Normal die with long thin die gouge from D thru O in DOLLAR as in VAM-18. Comments: 1 - Same reverse die Gouge as VAMs 18 , 43 , VAM-49 2 - Early die stages with a single clash do not show a clashed 's'. The 's' was transferred with a second clash, showing significant separation between clashes of the wing edge at Liberty's neck.
