1879-S VAM-1I Discovery June 2017 BY:Nico Marcus 1I III2 1 - C3a (Die Gouge Eagle's Right Wing) (184) I-2 R-5 Obverse III2 1 - Slightly doubled 9 at top loop left outside. Die marker - Fine die pitting at upper inside of ear. Reverse C3a - IV S mint mark slightly left at normal height. Some leaves in left wreath over polished and disconnected from wreath. About six diagonal die gouges at very top left outside of eagle's right leg and single diagonal gouge at left outside edge of inner feathers of eagle's right wing below shoulder. Comments:
