=1879-P VAM-14 Doubled 879, 187 in Denticles Die 2, Doubled Top Reverse= Discovered by Maurice Dubreuil, February 1977. Revised 2018. Revised 2019 bjsliverfox. 14(revised) III2 14 ยท C3k (Doubled 879, 187 in Denticles Die 2, Doubled Top Reverse) ( 179 ) Obverse III2 14 โ€“ Die 1: (AKA 1879 VAM 14.1); Doubled 879 in date. Doubled 8 at top inside of lower loop as notch, 7 on right side of lower serif and 9 on left outside of upper loop. Die 2: (AKA 1879 VAM 14.2); Similar doubled 879 but different curved doubling at top of 8 lower loop and some vertical die polishing lines in 9 lower loop. Apparently Die 1 obverse was replaced after die clashing as Die 2 obverse paired with same reverse that is clashed. Tops of 187 digits showing in denticles spaces as short narrow vertical bar in denticle spaces between 18, curved bar in denticle space at right side of 8 and narrow vertical bar below 7. Reverse C3k โ€“ Slightly doubled TATES OF AMERICA at bottom inside of letters towards rim, tops of In God We Trust and right wreath leaves on outside. Fine die scratches in middle of eagle's right wing. Diagonal die scratch at top of eagle's left wing and die scratch at right of wreath bow (NOT ON ALL). ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # The VAM-14 family is; VAM-14.1, 14.1A(LDS of 14.1), 14.2 and 14.2A(LDS of 14.2). They all share the same reverse die.
