=1878-P VAM-113 Flake on Cheek= Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, December 1965. Revised December 2017 - pacificwr 113 II/I 15 - B2a (Flake on Cheek) (194) Obverse II/I 15 - Type II LIBERTY. Doubled N, U, M in UNUM. Doubled 2-7 left stars and 1, 2, and 5 right stars. Doubled 1 at top right and bottom. Both 8's in date doubled at top left outside. Die creak through ear center and large die flake on cheek. DPIS – In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # ''Key Identifier'' - Die flake on check in front of ear.
