The 1870 Half Dime Patterns page groups the half dime pieces dated 1870 in the Standard Silver Patterns (1870) series, all struck at the Philadelphia Mint. William Barber's new seated Liberty appears with a wreath reverse reading 5 CENTS under STANDARD (J-809 to J-814) and with the regular half dime reverse (J-815 to J-820), each in silver, copper and aluminum with reeded and plain edges; J-821 to J-824 come from the regular dies.
