Flowing Hair Dollars 1794-1795

About This Series

The first silver dollars struck by the United States Mint, featuring Robert Scot's flowing hair Liberty portrait. The 1794 dollar, with approximately 1,758 produced and around 130 surviving, is one of the most valuable U.S. coins — a specimen sold for over $10 million in 2013. The 1795 is more available but still highly prized by collectors.
