About This Coin
Washington cents dated 1791, featuring a bust of Washington on the obverse and an eagle on the reverse. The series includes both small eagle and large eagle reverse designs, as well as a proof striking. An unusual brass small eagle cent adds a composition variant. These 1791 cents predate the Getz patterns of 1792 and represent some of the earliest proposed Washington cent designs. All varieties are very rare to extremely rare.
