About This Coin
The Double Head group of the Washington Pieces (1783-1800) series holds the pieces described below. The Double Head cent has the same uniformed, laureate bust on both sides, with WASHINGTON on one and ONE CENT on the other. Baker counted it among the English-made pieces with imaginary portraits; PCGS now dates it to about 1820.
