1791 Washington - Small Eagle Brass Cent
Strike TypeCoin Details
Description
A 1791 Washington cent with a small eagle reverse struck in brass. The brass composition distinguishes this from the standard copper version and gives the coin a distinctive yellowish color. The small eagle reverse shows a naturalistic eagle with outstretched wings. Brass strikings of 1791 Washington cents are considerably rarer than copper examples.
