Description

A 1791 Washington cent with a small eagle reverse in copper, the standard composition. The obverse features Washington's bust, and the reverse shows a small naturalistic eagle. This type represents one of the earliest Washington cent designs, produced before the formal establishment of the United States Mint. The small eagle is more delicate than the large eagle variant.

Rarity Notes

Very rare. 1791 Washington cents are scarce regardless of variety.
