1979 (P) Susan B. Anthony Dollar - Atypical Die Clash ADC-100c-1979-01

Description

ADC-100c-1979-01 is an atypical die clash on a 1979-P Susan B. Anthony dollar, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. A hard clash left deep marks on both dies, and the marks were never polished off. On the obverse, the moon's craters and a tail feather of the eagle left marks; the lower part of the eagle's right wing shows in the field by Anthony's chin, the top of the Earth and the eagle's left wing show below her bun, and part of the left wing tip sits below LI in LIBERTY. On the reverse, her forehead, nose and lips appear to the right of the eagle, the back of her neck and her bun cross the Earth and the field above the eagle's head, and the top of her head shows in the lunar surface above ONE DOLLAR.
