Description

2024 WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse on the 2024 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows at the bases of the fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh vertical stripes, on the middle part of the shield. Obverse markers: gouges (dots) inside the 0 of the date and SSW of it; a gouge (dot) right of the upper part of the second 2; a gouge (dot) right of the upper part of the E in WE; a gouge (dot) under and between the T and R of TRUST, and a gouge well under and between its S and T; and cracks on the forehead and over the eye. Reverse markers: a light crack on the shield's upper left edge; a strong gouge on the shield's upper right edge, over the M of UNUM at its left edge; a gouge (dot) in the field under the E of STATES; a gouge on shield stripe #1, at the center of its left edge; a gouge on the lower outer edge of stripe #13; and a gouge on the lower right edge of the shield's bottom, left of the initials JFM.
