Description

2021 WDDO-015 is a doubled die obverse on the 2021 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows extra thickness. Obverse markers: a small gouge right of TRUST's first T, near its top, centered between the lower E of WE and that T; several small gouges over the T of LIBERTY; a gouge (dot) above the second 2 of the date and another right of it; and chips behind the ear. Reverse markers: a chip on the shield above the L of PLURIBUS; a gouge (dot) left of the C in CENT; a crack that heads south from the O in ONE and then turns SE; a WNW/ESE crack on the lower shield; and a gouge under the second A in AMERICA. Wilbert Anderson submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler's comments note that additional die markers, and an additional example, come from a coin of Steve Young's.
