Description

This 2019 Jefferson Nickel, cataloged as VDDR-010 through VarietyVista's verification system, shows medium spread to the east generating an extra left top of the central doorway on the Monticello reverse. Unlike the southward doorway roof doublings seen on other Jefferson Nickel varieties, VDDR-010's eastward spread creates its secondary image by shifting the doorway element laterally rather than vertically. Confirmed at Early to Mid-Die State (Stage B), this die saw slightly more production use than Early Die State varieties, meaning some finer surface detail may show initial softening while the primary doubling remains visible. The VDDR designation indicates formal UVC/DMR codes have not yet been assigned. Eastward medium spread on the central doorway's upper left corner targets the point where the door frame meets Monticello's facade.
