Description
The 2018 (P) Voyageurs National Park Quarter is a quarter produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series. The U.S. Mint produced 237.4 million examples, making this the highest mintage among 15 variants, accounting for 13% of the year's production. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. The reverse depicts a common loon swimming with a rock cliff in the background. Voyageurs National Park is named for the French-Canadian fur traders who traveled these waterways, encompassing over 218,000 acres of lakes and forests along the Canadian border. Pictured Rocks (MI), Apostle Islands (WI), Voyageurs (MN), Cumberland Island (GA), and Block Island (RI) were featured. The program continued with strong collector support nearing its conclusion. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $0 to $1 depending on grade and condition.
