2018 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-015

Description

Sloped extra thickness shows on LIBERTY with the upper left branch of the Y being thicker than the upper right branch of the Y. Extra vertical thickness shows on the date, most visible on the 2. Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches run parallel to the right side of the right leg of R of LIBERTY. A die crack and large chip can be found above Lincoln's eye. Reverse: Die chips can be found at the top of the shield above the U and R of PLURIBUS along a die crack running the left side of the shield. A die crack extends east and then north from the lower right side of the T of CENT. Obverse:
