Description
2018 WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse on the 2018 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The date shows moderate extra thickness and LIBERTY very slight extra thickness. Wexler records two stages. The Stage A obverse has a small gouge (dot) just right of the E in LIBERTY, near its top; the Stage B obverse has a small gouge north of that E. On the Stage A reverse, a small gouge sits inside the D of UNITED at its bottom; on the Stage B reverse, a crack with several chips crosses the shield's top left. Steve Young submitted Stage A and Chris Hurley Stage B. Wexler lists no cross-references.
