2016 (P) Roosevelt Dime - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-004

Description

2016-P WDDR-004 is a doubled die reverse on the 2016-P Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling shows above the olive leaves that sit over the RIB of PLURIBUS. The obverse is in a late die state (LDS), Several die chips mark the rear of the chin and mouth, and the bottom of the nose has two small chips. On the reverse, under the E in STATES, toward its left side, is a die gouge; a chip sits in the center of the flames atop the torch; a die crack heads ENE off the lowest set of bands; and a crack and a chip are on the bottom of the fasces. Allen Darrow submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
