Description
Doubling shows on the bottom of Sergeant William Jasper’s coat.Die Markers: Obverse: Weak die gouge far above the G in GOD. Reverse: Die breaks on the right side of both sails. Die break on Jasper's shoulder. Numerous die breaks on top of Jasper's left arm. Long die crack along the left side of the flag to a die chip at the bottom of the crescent. Die chip on top of Jasper's hat. Small die gouge in the middle of the field below Jasper's hands.Submitted By: George W. Small die gouge SW of the designer's initials JF. Reverse: Thin die crack across the flagpole above the shoulder. Thin die crack on top of Jasper's left arm. Thin NE/SW die scratches in the field right of Jasper, strongest at the bottom of the coat.
