Description
2016-P SC WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 2016-P Fort Moultrie (Fort Sumter National Monument) quarter (South Carolina) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. IN GOD WE TRUST shows slight extra thickness running east to west. Obverse markers: a small gouge under the left side of DOLLAR's O; thin NW/SE scratches under the ear; and thin NE/SW scratches at the rim over STATES OF. Reverse markers: a NE/SW crack across Jasper's elbow; a scratch running N off the clouds to the left of the ships; and a N/S scratch left of Jasper's right knee. James Cassin submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
