Description
2016-P KY WDDR-019 is a doubled die reverse on the 2016-P Cumberland Gap National Historical Park quarter (Kentucky) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows on the frontiersman's coat fringe, just left of his upper right arm. Obverse markers: a gouge in the lower opening of LIBERTY's B; a gouge left of LIBERTY's Y; gouges left of and under QUARTER's last R; and a gouge in the inner left corner of STATES' first T. Reverse markers: a short NW/SE scratch left of the frontiersman's chin; a large gouge under WEST's WE; a small gouge between the upper parts of DOORWAY's O and R; and a small gouge between the upper parts of DOORWAY's R and W. Aaron Laramee submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
