Description
2016-P KY WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse on the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park quarter (Kentucky), struck at Philadelphia in 2016 for the America the Beautiful series and cataloged by the Wexler team. The frontiersman's coat is doubled left of his upper right arm, at the point where the hill in the background meets that arm. Wexler notes no significant obverse markers. On the reverse, a small gouge sits just over the left side of DOORWAY's second O, and another lies inside the upper part of DOORWAY's R. Noah Ledbetter submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
